| TITLE: | Proteomics via Mass Spectrometry |
| PRESENTER: | Yongyi Mao University of Ottawa |
| ABSTRACT:
In this talk, I will present an on-going large-scale informatics project in proteomics based on the emerging technology of mass spectrometry. This is a collaborative project between three research teams in Toronto (Andrew Emili), Florida (Dragan Radulovic) and Ottawa (Yongyi Mao). I will first give an overview on the central role of mass spectrometry in proteomics and the tremendous promise it brings to high-throughput proteome analysis. Then I will outline the objective, challenge and plan of this project. Finally I will present some progress that we have made recently. The talk will be given at a level suited for audience without biology background. |
