ABSTRACT:
A fraud and abuse auditor application is introduced which processes both structured and unstructured information associated with medical insurance claims. The application makes use of a natural language processing engine, together with application-specific knowledge in the form of a taxonomy, written in a constraint-based concept specification language. Issues related to the operation of the application are discussed. |
